Dinosaur songs

Here are some of the dinosaur songs we sang this week!

ALL AROUND THE SWAMP
(Wheels on the bus)

Pteranodons' wings went flap, flap, flap
Flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap
Pteranodons' wings went flap, flap, flap
All around the swamp.

Tyrannosaurus Rex went grrr, grrr, grrr
Grrr, grrr, grrr, grr, grrr, grrr
Tyrannosaurus Rex went grrr, grrr, grrr
All around the swamp.

Triceratops horns went poke, poke, poke
Poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke
Triceratops horns went poke, poke, poke
All around the swamp.

Apatosauruses' mouth went munch, munch, munch
Munch, munch, munch, munch, munch, munch
Apatosauruses' mouth went munch, munch, munch
All around the swamp.

Stegosaursus' tail went spike, spike, spike,
Spike, spike, spike, spike, spike, spike,
Stegasaurus' tail went spike, spike, spike
All around the swamp.

DO YOU KNOW
(Muffin Man)

Oh, do you know the stegosaurus?
The stegosaurus, the stegosaurus?
Oh, do you know the stegosaurus?
He had plates upon his back.

Apatosaurus.... he has a very long neck.
Tyrannosaurus rex....he was very fierce.
Triceratops...he has three big horns.

After we sang our songs we called each child up to pick either a small, medium or large dinosaur.  We only used those words to describe the one they were suppose to pick and everyone picked the right size.  Great job!!
We also learned what a carnivore (meat eater), herbivore (plant eater), and omnivore (eats both) were.  Ask your child which they are.  (:

We found a spider in the classroom today!  I have never seen a spider like this and the kids were really interested in it.
